American Security is the name of the company that contracts with the entire Prisma Health System. They mainly patrol the campus (checking locks, keeping tabs on contractors, generally looking for any security issues, etc.). They also oversee issuing any keys or access badges to vendors or contractors, and they have a lot of interaction with the public, such as answering questions or giving directions. Some facilities also have manned security stations with metal detectors or other security devices. They're generally a decent group of people and have a good camaraderie with the hospital staff.
