Yes it is but you cannot get the same quality if meat anywhere else.
The piggly wiggly in Homewood has good prices if you get the piggly wiggly food or other brands. Different from Wal-Mart, you know it's not going to spoil within the next couple of days. And different from Sam's because you don't have to buy in such large quantities. But if you want large quantities you can ask in the meat department and they will see if they can get it.
On some items and specials their prices are low. Rest of the prices are average, not high
Obviously going to cost a bit more, but its super convenient. It's a lot faster getting in and out. Pretty good vegetable prices, better meat the Walmart and awesome craft beer selection.
Personally neighborhood grocery. A lot of craft local and regional beers, which is not available in other places
Difficult to compare since each is a separate type of retailer.
The Pig everytime. But really comes down to the specifics of your shopping habits. Personally I don't support the Wal-Mart's of the world. Shop local.
And it's locally, not a multinational chain.
Piggly Wiggly's prices are a little bit higher, but I noticed most items are around $0.40-$0.75 higher than Walmart. If you buy generic brands, buy what's on sale, and use coupons that should help you match Walmart's prices.
Depending on what you are buying, The Pig is pretty reasonable..Its worth it😀
