Its just to get you I'm the store! Once in there they will say they need more down. I have gotten 2 cars from them and wish i never had. They put you upside down charging you up to 3 times the amount they paid for a car. You can go to many other car lots and get loans with bad credit and a down payment and it will be with a real bank that have early pay off bonus and things of that sort. Car hop is there own bank no early pay off you will pay full interests even if you trade it in early. I suggest staying away and just say no to car hop!
DO NOT GET A CAR TROUGH THESE WEASELS. I'm currently losing sleep trying to help my 23yr daughter. She wanted to "figure things out on her own" after an accident & now my heart is breaking for her. After owning this vehicle for [now] 8 months, she almost abandoned it to walk the last 3 miles to work - it overheated & stalled [again]. She bought this 2005 Toyota RAV4 through CAR Hop (Crystal, MN - salesman "Chris M") in August. After 2 DAYS, she asked to return it because it was having SERIOUS issues! Salesman, "Chris M," talked her out of the return. Said they could fix it, she just needed to get it diagnosed at one of "their" mechanics. She finally got the diagnostic codes and gave them to "Chris M." Conversations went round&round about getting the issues fixed, now she's long past the 7-day return window. [Our] mechanic said it's a total loss because the issues are so extensive! They sold my daughter a $6,000 lemon for $13,000. She was told to file a complaint to the AG. :(
I have purchased 3 cars from them and have never had an issue. You have a great warranty with them. Just call and ask to a salesman.
