Dr. Strauss is ome of the best doctors I know! In my first appointment, he did a total assessment of what I was going through. He actually diagnosed what was actually going on when no other doctor could. That sent me on a quest for the treatment from my other doctors. He actually cares and is must more than a doctor that "shuffles you through the door". You have to have a referral for any pain management doctor, but they will work with you if you are not insured. I am able to work because of being taken care of at North Georgia Pain Clinic.
We are a referral only practice. Please have your primary care physician refer you We do not take walk-ins. We perform procedures, prescribe medication when needed and offer PRP, platelet rich plasma.therapy. You can visit our website at http://northgeorgiapainclinic.com/ for more information.
They don't take walk ins. They're a pain management practice & you must be referred by your general practitioner or neuro Dr, whichever diagnosed you with a health issue with chronic pain. North GA pain clinic is thorough. They'll want any info involving your diagnoses like radiology reports from MRIs, x rays or surgical reports. You can get this info yourself simply by filling out a form where you had your procedures and/or diagnoses & they put the media on a CD for you & give you a printout of your reports. It makes things faster. Once you've been referred and become a patient, they schedule your appointments at the Canton or Cartersville office. Once, I had my appointment date wrong in my calendar & they were kind enough to work me in that day after a short wait but they don't just take walk ins because you feel like coming that day. Best to keep the appointment they give you because I think Dr Straus is only at the Cartersville office twice a week & he is very busy. Good luck!
No. Referrals only. Also. They are primarily opiate treatments. Dont expect anything but to be handed a script and shuffled out the door.
