I have the same and they both enjoyed it very much. Its small and very accessible for all kids.
The challenge with the younger ago kids is that they will want to be held up so they can see more of the exhibit. It would not be crazy to bring a step ladder.
My son loved it at 2 and above. He did want to run in there, which you can't do, and he loved the gift shop and never wanted to leave! Isaacs is there so promising lunch there after helped reward good behavior.
They would love it. If their interested in trains its a home run. My kids loved it and we've stopped by every year since they were 2
my grand children loved it. then we took a train ride across the street
Good question , they do get frustrated...also you will do alot of up and down lifting so they can see everything...better for slightly older kids imo..however the store has great products and a fun train to play on out front
My 2 year old granddaughter really enjoyed it. She didn't seem concerned about not being able to touch.
The kids are amazed by it
I took my daughter who was 17 months at the time around Christmas. She seemed to enjoy it aside from the fact that it was packed. Saw a lot of families and kids of all ages. They seemed thrilled and the plexiglass seems to create a "this is for watching" barrier that they can grasp without being frustrated.
