You can pick it out yourself, however from a contractor's stand point their lumber is of poor quality. It can be almost I'm possible at times to find a straight piece if wood there. I'd recommend going to an actual lumber yard. There's an 84 lumber in natrona heights as well as allegheny lumber. You do not have to be a contractor to buy from them.
Allegheny lumber in tarentum is the place to go. Top quality lumber. They deliver too!
It's nice that you can pick your own, they do have the carts to load and transport the materials to the vehicle or trailer. Sounds like a lot of wood, so bring a helper.
I believe you can pick it out yourself. They have large carts that hold 2 X's, and plywood that I picked out myself.
