i had a baby back in september but i have yet to receive my daughter's ss card. When i call the ss office, the hold is 2 hrs. I cannot wait that long on hold. If i go to this office, what would i need to bring? also are they open on xmas eve?

They are closed Christmas eve 2018. When you go, go with your baby's original birth certificate or copy certified by issuing agency, they do not accept photocopies or notarized copies. You also need your baby's U. S. passport or doctor, clinic or hospital record or religious record or school daycare center record. You the parent also need proof of your identity like government issued photo ID or U.S. passport. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm. The Social Security card center is on the 2nd floor.

They are closed christmas day and christmas Eve. You have to file for a replacement card
