Parents need to be the educators and protective when it's a ? of what adults are doing in their home. Just like medications and household products that look like they can be eaten, caution needs to be taken to store it so their kids cannot get a hold of it.
Totally agree. When we were kids we weren't allowed to touch our parents liquor or cigarettes. And, of course, like most normal teenagers we snuck a smoke or a bottle to try with our friends. I think anything forbidden just becomes all the more desirable. It's perfectly natural for kids to be curious about stuff they see their parents eating, drinking, smoking and wondering why they're not allowed. It's a parents job to set boundaries and hopefully explain why they exist.
