I just flew United Airlines 2 weeks ago, but I used a passport for my son, which is much simpler. If you don't have one, a birth certificate is sufficient.

Hi! I would call the airport directly and find out what exactly you would need to bring. I think it also would depend on your little one's age. Check with your airline's airport staff prior to going and when you arrive and they will definitely have more answers for you. Hope this helps!! ☺️
If I'm not mistaken a birth certificate, I think your best bet is to call the airport for confirmation.
