It all depends, to be honest you need to keep checking cause COVID related policies change constantly very fast, so you are not required at the airport but check to your destination cause some states are asking for it, as some.countries do too... so just keep checking before traveling... I got one to enter Guatemala and another one just because the state I live in requires it, bu NJ did not asked me for one
