Why is this preserve being advised as for “ town residents only “? Talk hall and PnR said this is open to all. Is there a guard station with someone checking driving licenses??

Went last year and was in the water fine until and officer asked to see a Glastonbury id, which I clearly didn’t have and asked us to leave because it is for residents only. Easy to get into though no guard in the lot or anything.

Yeah just post it on google to help them crack down us idiots

I was just there last Friday and there was no guard. I parked in the upper lot and went in like always.

I called the town today and its open to all with no fee. I guess there had been lots of vandalism and unsafe conditions this past summer so it was closed/restricted for a bit

Yeah happened to us a few years back. Such a shame

It’s been like that for at least 20yrs that I remember, however, never had an issue as long as it’s kept CLEAN.
