Is there any way to walk into the passport agency now for a same day passport during COVID-19? I am traveling January 3rd and need my passport renewed. I tried making an appointment online & tried calling multiple times, but have been unsuccessful.

Unfortunately, No. You must continue to try. The officers assigned to the rhe passport agency will turn you away. You may try the website www.travel.gov and try to book the appointment that way. I received my appointment one day before my trip. Good luck.
