The few minutes difference in clocks creates problems. If any of their registers are on an intra net then employees will likely use that as an excuse. It can be a company policy but all companies should take care of the customer first. You are right and being upset would be how I would feel. I currently work for a company that made their name through customer service so I strongly dislike what happened to you. No I do not work for big and small lots. Better luck with where you go and the service you get.
Even though all clocks may have a minute or two difference, the "customer is always right", so it's said! From a customer service position, they should of let you return your pillow. I agree with you on this one! Happy future returns Demian☺
