Is this place fair to all who want to adopt a pet. Just because someone might not have a lot of money or a big fancy house. Seams like owning a pet is becoming a luxury for people who can buy fancy pet close and that's not fair.

Yes, they don't ask about income. Sounds like you have been dealing with rescues or shelters that are not city run. City run shelters don't have as many rules and requirements as rescue groups or other shelters, they maily deal with state and city rules, for example spay/neutering the animals, or you signing a contract that it will ne done by a certain time.

Yes! We have an open adoptions policy and adoptions are currently free. The companionship of a pet should be accessible to all those who want to provide that love and care to a shelter pet. We also have programs to support pet owners in times of need such as our Pet Food Pantry. All are welcome to come find their new furry companion at Dallas Animal Services!
