Hey Sara! I helped you at the store the other day. You can go in and exchange within 60 days of the purchase.
At least in my experience I was told that every dollar I spent towards the ring I bought I could also use as trade in value to get something else. For instance if you bought a $2000 ring and now you want a $3000 ring, you could pay your ring+$1000 for the new one. I assume this applies across the board since they told me it worked that way.
