Can you ride bikes on the trail?

We do not allow bikes on the trails at Spicer Lake Nature Preserve or any of the St. Joseph County Parks. The natural trails are for walking/hiking only. It sounds like you are looking to bike on natural terrain. A couple of options to look into not too far from Three Oaks are Warren Woods State Park (Chikaming Township, MI) and Love Creek County Park (Berrien Center, MI). Definitely confirm what they offer to make sure it's what you're looking for. As for paved trails, we have a mountain biking trail at Bendix Woods County Park in New Carlisle. There is also the Indiana-Michigan River Valley Trail which runs from Niles (just north of US 12) all the way to Mishawaka. We manage the section of that trail between the State Line and Cleveland Road in South Bend.
