If showcase comics still sells trading cards, do they keep with with the leatest releases? I got word that a card game i use to enjoy is in the works to make a come back.

Entirely depends on the game. Call the shop. If they don't carry it, they might be able to order it for you.

They still sell the most current Magic: The Gathering sets and hold tournaments, so yes to at least that. As far as other card game products, I cannot vouch for how recent they are.
