Yes, the primary site is. Although, they have made it in a way that can be moved or altered as and when needed. Its amazing how they have preserved the original site for public display.
There is a short guided and paved walk to the indoor dig site.
Starts outside, then goes inside to see Mammoth bones.
The main display is, however the walk from the parking lot to the building is about 200 metres.
