Really depends on the day and the weather. By 4:30 on a weekday will almost guarantee a first sitting. I've been first in line at 4:50 on some weekdays though.

No earlier than 15-30 minutes before they open. Even if you arrive right when they open, you'll likely be seated within 45 minutes to an hour.
