I keep seeing very unpleasant reviews for MMG, I understand there could be a variety of reasons for that, as a business owner I get it. However paying for photos is a pic mill trick. My daughter is meeting w/MMG agent soon, should I be concerned?

Go look at their reviews. The top one explains that they strongly recommend that you get a portfolio done with their photographer, which is $1300, then something about you will only book jobs if you go through their portfolio portal, something like that, I’d never heard of it before, anyway that costs another $600! I went to a bunch of modelling agencies in London, 30 years ago, and there is no cost for anything. That was a more ‘classic’ agency though, where the models are booked by top designers etc, whereas this one looks (by the pics) like a promotions agency. If you ever read anything that has advice for wannabe models, it always says “Don’t pay for anything upfront, no reputable agency will ask you to do that”. After all, they’re supposed to make their money via the jobs they book for their models. Anyway to answer your question, even though you didn’t ask me, I’d say yes you should be concerned.
