Hi Lisa and thanks for reaching out! 99% of our rescues come from the south. We work with a few other rescues in driving down and saving animals that come from all situations including: Neglect, abuse, dog fighting, kill shelters, etc. We then bring them up north and get them adopted into their new forever homes. the 1% of the rescues that dont come from the south are usually from local people who have surrendered cats and dogs that they've found as strays and situations like that. There's usually info posted about each dog telling its breed, age, sex, and where it's from.

They're very helpful on letting you know exactly where and how they got the animals, I have heard the some time's have rescued animals
