Actually they DO REFUSE people with service animals...not just me...i want to bring this to everyones attention. They refused to allow me in even though I sm onviously handicapped, and my service dog was properly vested and identified as a service animal. I even returned with Dekalb commisioner Ted Terry who witnessed it and promised to help but he didnt. Im not alone theres a lot of trip advisor reports of the same thing. I did file a complaint with the civil rights division of the US Justice Dept. They said they would keep my file open and see if they get more complaints. Btw my dog was perfectly behaved and under my control at all times she walks next to me on my left side, she doesnt approach or sniff people or things and whe i stop she siys or lies down in front of or beside md as she is trained to do, doesnt bark most people comment on how weelvtrained she is, so this is clearly just some kind of issue with disabled people or something.
What did they say to you? Contact one of the local television stations...
This is an environment where animals should not be in. There is A time and place for service animals and this is not one of then...You should make sure you have a human being escorts you into this place. Respect the sacred place where food is the priority. We understand and feel your need, but there comes a time and place where You must respect others and have a person come with you and leave your animals in a comfortable place.
I don't recall seeing any signs against it, but best to be on the safe side and have the animal in a service best.
They legally cannot refuse a person with a service animal. They may ask for papers though. Probably won't if you come in with a dog, probably will if you come in with a Rat. Not being funny but you can buy a vest online and some people are "inconsiderate" of those who really need a service animal.
