You can now get your veteran status on your driver's license by going to the DMV. Take your dd214 with you.
If you need a veterans ID card for healthcare/ store discounts you have to visit the VA facility in either Columbia or Ashville. If you need a CAC card, dependant ID, or retiree ID, there is a ID facility in Spartanburg or you could get one at any military installation.
