In the state of Virginia, do we or do we NOT have to have a motorcycle license to ride a Slingshot???? I was told when I purchased it that it is considered an autocycle and I didn't have to have one. My wife was harassed by police because of it.

I dont think you need an M2 endorsement because that is for motorcycles but you may need the M3 endorsement which is for three wheeled vehicles. You should be able to get confirmation at a DMV to be safe.

According to MSF instructors, you need a license to operate a slingshot in DC.

Call the store and speak to the Manager.

You do not require a motorcycle license, just a driver's license for the slingshot.

Not that I am aware of, Of course you will have some police officers that are not knowledgeable on specifics even though they all seem to demand respect. Some more then others. Seems your wife may have gotten one of the officers that will give you a ticket for your Inspection sticker right while you were involved in an accident where your car was totaled.
