Yes, a state issue ID is required. Also, seek a range officers help if you have never shot a firearm or if its been years since the last time you have done so. No additional fees for asking and as a fellow shooter i would greatly appreciate it! Remember to never point a firearm at something you're not willing to distroy even when you gun is not loaded.
