Is it walkable from the nearest train station? Would that be Jefferson or suburban?

Jefferson would be the closest. But if you get off at Jefferson, get the market-Frankford line to 2nd and market st. Thats the easier walk. You will see the Penn's landing sign

I would look at the Google map for the walking distance. U just need a location from which u want to walk to the river rink. Then pick the walking option on Google map. It will display ur walking path and time

I agree with carl williams. We walked to subway from there during the day. At night, caught a taxi- was worth it!
