They say that the rental sizes are 1-4 for toddlers, and 5-14 for adults. What would you suggest I do with my 8 year old daughter who wears a kids 4-5 (not toddler)??

Ask for a 4 or 5 kids. My son wears a kids 2 and they were able to fit him no problem. Especially during the day on weekends there are plenty of children that look to be as young as 5
