I applied for rental assistance ...I was told all I needed was my lease and a letter of intent to evict , which I had . just wondering if anyone has had to deal with this and what documentation was necessary ..I think I'm being screwed

Thanks for responding ..I brought all that with me. They want my landlords financial records ..W-9. The deed to his house his social security # a friend of mine at my church said she didnt need that ..just the eviction notice and the lease . thats it ...I can't expect my landlord to give them all that personal info ...just wondering if its a question of whats actually required opposed to what Im being told .

Try to make sure you have all paper work even what they don't ask for. Make sure you have your lease, eviction notice, id, socials and birth certificates/medical cards for everyone in the house, proof of 30 days income (employment,print out from dpw, letter from social security).
