No such specifically named or described item for knife handling at the Home Depot that I have seen.
I have purchased brass rods there before. I believe they also have stainless rods, but i'm not certain of that. You should be able to use either, but Home Depot doesn't sell things specifically made for knife handles.
There are numerous types of woods sold at Home Depot. Hardwoos and softwoods.
