Sometimes I just park at the free parking at Marshall's or Ralph's at Hollywood and Western then catch a railway ride there. Since I hate car culture, especially in this city, I enjoy the cheap ride there. Then I can go nuts drinking as much coffee as I want without experiencing road rage side effects afterwards(kidding).
Chandler or the side streets going into the neighborhood behind Federal Bar are your best bet. The red line parking now charges.
Wherever you can find street parking. You could park at the red line station, but either way, parking can be hard to find at time.
Street parking is very limited. You can use Post Office lot, but it's expensive.
I have often parked close to the post office.
On Chandler St
Directly across the street at the Metro Redline station! PARKING IS FREE AND PLENTIFUL! ... you could drive around and look for street parking next to the building, though depending on time of day might take you just as far away, and if you're like most people you will make 2 or 3 passes looking for something closer... For a quick, no hassle stop, go to the metro parking...
