With certain you can believe that that is their real goal. Just think how much money they save annually by doing that I think if one has to check their own groceries and Sack their own groceries the customer should get a discount that's just putting more money in Walmart's pocket.
That is what they are doing making check out yourself while saving money on labor
I have always preferred the self checkout. I don't want somebody else handling my groceries, I can bag it the way that I prefer, I am faster than the cashiers, and I never have to wait in line.
it can be a pain but I've found that I like self checkout. you get in a long line and someone needs a price check,your there for awhile. self checkout you don't have that problem. maybe just me but I prefer it.not like my wife
