I bought a Carrigg coffee pot maker at giant and has maybe been a year but it just hasn’t been heating the water and I am wondering what do you do bring it in or what do I have to do

Go ask them. There's no guarantee but sometimes they take care of it even out of warranty. Also if you bought with Costco Citi card there's a chance you have another year or two of warranty under your credit card. But first ask Costco first on your next visit.

From my experience if it's not an electronic (TVs, etc). They will take it back. The return policy is amazing. I returned a $500 item that was 6 years old and they took it back for a full refund.

That's probably going to be a manufacturer's warranty thing...
