Hey Claire, thanks for the question! We will sometimes buy high quality collections and mineral specimen from legally acquired and verifiable sources! Assuming the material is something we can legally buy, it will greatly depend on what the material is, the grade(quality) of said material, and how much of that material in various grades we currently have in stock. We generally buy wholesale to be able to offer our customers the lowest prices possible, but every once in awhile we will buy individual pieces. Unless it's a rare wood or jewelry grade we likely wouldn't ever be too interested in buying petrified wood unfortunately. If there is something you have that you think we might consider you are welcome to send us some pictures to our email and we can take a look! One thing to note is that many of my employees are unable to give valid and accurate quotes physically in the shop. So I generally don't recommend taking your items into the store until you reach out to me! Thanks!!
