Did you set up the ssid and password?
Get the xfinity app on your phone do you can refresh, restart, send ping & diagnose problems or outages in your area
Try unplugging the power cord to your Wifi box, wait 10 seconds then plug it back in. If that doesnt work, log in to your Xfinity Account and you can reset the signal on your box online. But i recommend unplugging it first.
