I have a issue with my wifi not reaching into other rooms in my house? I was told to bring in the older modem that I was issued years back and that I would get a new XB6 and to ask about XFI Advantage boost. i need help setting up. pls advise

I purchased my own as well. Didn't want to pay a monthly rental. I still have areas of my house that the WiFi doesn't reach so I may also purchase an extender. By law, the signal strength has a maximum power I am told so WiFi extenders are a necessity.

I had a similar situation where my modem was old. I didn't want to pay Xfinity a rental charge for modem which I think was $10 a month. So I bought a Netgear on sale modem router. it was super easy to install and my whole home is up and running just fine. The cost of the Netgear with $79.

Make a appointment on line or call them directly

Not hard to set up they will give you the box with directions. If they say you need the boost have them install it because it os where you place it. And Dont let them charge you! Alot of subdivisions have poor reception because of original wiring which is not your problem
