I think it's the local churches. Money goes back to the community.
I don't understand why they tell you at the Hem of His Garment that if you are in need of food, you can go next door and they will help you. That's a lie, i went and asked for my granddaughter and me , I'm 70 years old,, I explained that my granddaughter had just gotten her power back on after the hurricane, and she needed some food, they told me because we live with a Richlands or Jacksonville address they could not help us. But its ok for us to go and buy or donate to their business ?? They even ask me to volunteer there, and drive all that way, It even said in a Daily News article that they help peope in Onslow. Shouldn't make any difference where you're from, especially after a hurricane if you are in need. Shame on the lady and the man that i talked, because it wasn't very Christian like. We been goin there maybe 2 times a week. But no more. I had to go home and tell my granddaughter, they wouldn't help,
