As far as I know there is no swimming anywhere at the sand wash. You can canoe or kayak

Swimming is not permitted, there is a strong current under the surface of the water, an old mine runs underneath

No swimming allowed signs are all around. There is a section for swimming but not sure when they staff it with a lifeguard
