I have a 2009 Honda Accord. Today, the "Side Airbag Off" sign came on. My question is... am I warranted by Honda to have this fixed? If so, i would like to make an appointment. Also, what might have caused this to go on. Thanks, Stan

Based on the year of the car it may not be covered under warranty. However, there are multiple recall that maybe associated with your airbag light. Call and as if your vehicle has any outstanding recalls (have your vin number ready) and see where that takes you. Honda city advisors are very reasonable, for the most part.

The service center is open today bring the car in they can check the airbag code it may just need to be reset they can also check your warranty it may depend on how many miles you have on the vehicle.

Possible system malfunction so make an appointment asap

If you place anything on the front passenger seat or engage that seatbelt to hold something, that light will also come on. If you have a passenger in that seat and the light still goes on i would have it checked. Even if it's not under warranty
