I believe it all comes down to the individual issue with each animal but we were told $40 to check my cats wounds and give it an antibiotic shot. It wound up costing more but we told them to do everything necessary so the vet was very thorough getting him caught up on rabies vaccinations, etc. If you can get a Care Credit card and it will help a lot with issues like vet, dental, optical, etc. It's a fairly easy card to get.
