Well, with everything that is going on around us, no doubt they assumed that something horrific was about to take place. Now, I am well aware that certain professions call for some of the items although the time that we are living in would readily cause alarm and concern. I trust that the items purchased were for a project that didn't include harm or malicious activity to anyone.
I had the exact same purchase and the exact same looks from staff. What's up with that?

Interesting. You might have been there when they were giving dirty looks to someone else for something you don't know; if not, best thing is to ask. Or talk to someone who was a witness.
LOL! You probably had a person from security behind you too. If you actually got any dirty looks, it was probably bc the previous customer was rude and the cashier hadn't had time to collect themself yet.
