It would seem to me that you fall into the caregiver category and that would warrant a trip to the office. (Social Security / Disability). To the best of my knowledge.
Have a question bout this as well..will the mother in law or person you are caring for need to be with you? And what if the disabled person is unable to leave home easy..they can't get up and down stairs.
