I hear that Walmart has the same "Unspoken" policy. I'd rather be there than a Cracker Barrel! Why? Because Walmart keeps traffic/ppl moving around 24/7 for the most part, which helps a little in terms of security or safety. A closed empty Cracker Barrel seems a little less safe because it wouldn't be as well lit as Walmart & no one would be around in case of an emergency!
Asking for forgiveness is better than begging for permission. Just do it. Your a customer. Come back when they close if you have to.:-)
I don't have a answer to that question. But I'm going to ask next time I'm in Cracker Barrel.
Not all of them allow it and they would prefer to keep it on the down low if they do so ask ahead of time
