There is some parking lots on the streets 0.5 miles away. I did it that way and was awesome. Good luck
I dont think so. We parked in the Capitol area neighborhood a block away from the visitor center. If you do, remember to pick up your car before 4 pm as rush hour starts and parking is not allowed from 4-630 pm.
There is not a designated parking lot; however, I parked 3 blocks away. There is street parking in the neighborhood.
There is very little public parking to be found around the national mall. There are a few metered lots to the west of the Washington monument, but most fill up fast, and are expensive. There are many hop on hop off tour services available. We walked everywhere our first few days, it's exhausting. The tour services are really the way to go for transportation
There is neighborhood on street parking nearby allowed for up to 2 hours. Be sure to read the signs carefully! There is also paid parking in lots farther away. Be aware of no parking restrictions during certain times and in certain areas, like near the Supreme Court Bldg.
