There is a big parking lot just outside the visitors center - easiest parking ever.

Yes, very easy to park. Parking is free. You can also take the water taxi, which has a stop at the fort as well. There is also a bus stop just outside the gates.

There are two lots: one paved lot in front of the visitors center and one gravel lot on the way to the visitors center. You can park in the gravel lot for quick access to the running trails and park areas.
