It was never nondenominational. It's always been a fundamental independent Baptist Church.
My baptism card says it was a non denominational church in 1982/3.
I have heard it described in the past as nondemoninational' and Baptist was not in the name or description until recent years. It began as an offshoot of a local Church of God and the original founders were Bible believing, fundamental Christians. Affiliation with any denomination was avoided for most of its existence but doctrinally it aligns most closely with Independent Baptist.
