Hi. My spouse and 3 kids were granted asylum on Jan. 30, 2019. For SSN they need admission # but on I-94 card it is under a black strip and unreadable. How can I get the admission number for SSN? Help please.

We have been dealing with the same issue for months. Asylum office told us SS office doesn't need that admission number because it wasn't given when entering the USA. SS office says yes they need it. There is not communication between these offices.. Is all a mess. We were told to go to the SS office in Clifton, supposedly they know what to do there. We did couple of weeks ago. Went back yesterday and found out it wasn't processed. They are doing it again. We'll see what happens in few days...
