I usually go to get books for my nephews for Christmas and they've always had a reasonable selection of chlidren's books featuring African American and people of African descent. You might also include books about art and artists of color. Books are reasonably priced and in good condition.
Character's in books, information about heritage...I would say Powell's in Chicago is probably my "safe place" for positive books. As for children in Belize, I would bet on them having something good and they are one of the few places I would rather go get a book than order online. The books are reasonable and usually the prices on the books are cheaper when you actually get to the counter and check out. If you walk in and go straight back(not in the next room) grab a cool ladder and check out all of the cool.children's books. It is very diverse and who doesnt want to climb a ladder in a book store! Michelle, go there and you wont be disappointed. It is lovely in a nostagia kind of way. There is some good food near there as well.
May I ask why Black American children specifically?
You would have to go there I person and talk to the management.... you could also check online for more information.....
