I think its great for parties, had my sons graduation party there. I am there almost every day august through November. It is not a crowded park, ive never experienced drunk people peeing on things, or crazy atv people. Most times i am there, there are only about 2 or 3 other families. Many times, there's no one. The playground is brand new and amazing. A local bank donated the playhouse. You can hike, kayak, swim, fish. Bathrooms are clean. The only downside is the geese. Currently there are two geese with 5 babies. The goose poop is everywhere. Not sure how they can fix that. Also beach area needs grooming or truckload of sand to freshen it up

I have had a totally different experience, at least during the off-season it's a really nice place my daughter loves the park it's one of the biggest ones we've been to so far.
Worst thing about it is the constant ATVs flying around with drunk people some middle aged some teens almost hitting the kids they also screem swear words, urinate in the playground, etc...Also its been years since we could officially be allowed to swim there because of the geese droppings raising bacteria levels in the lake.
