I believe you can especially since "Social Security" is the same no matter what office you end up at .. however, in some circumstances if you have a counselor at your home town office or you've used that particular office at other times they may expect you to stay local... The best advice I can offer to to call the 800 number and ask them if there is any issue with going to another office instead of your local one and they may be able to send you one via mail and you won't have to go anywhere...that would be sweet .....
