Engines running? We visited here a few yrs ago and everyone sat in their vehicle with their engine running. The exhaust was so overwhelming we had to leave. Is this how drive ins are done nowadays or was this a one-off?

Most likely a one-off. Most people just start there car every hour so that their battery won't die.

I believe this is an actual and unfortunate physical representation of a small percentage of people that go to the drive in these days.. But on the other end of the spectrum you have people with physical disabilities that may need the vehicle running for the reason. You just have to make the best of it some days. Good luck!

No the engines aren't supposed to be running! in between movies some people will turn on there Vehicle and wait for the battery to charge, but not running while the movie is going
